The Muse Salon is back this Sunday!
After a long, long hiatus I finally wanted to bring this online community event back from those past lockdown days (you early Muse Letter readers will remember our monthly gatherings). And as I’m focusing more and more on long-form writing and creating valuable work, I realised that there’s another thing I truly miss: being in contact with other writers.
So there you go.
The Muse Salon is…
It’s a one hour session with inspiring talks, writing prompts and the community support of fellow writers to get rid of that pesky blank page. And by blank page I’m not just talking about the literal piece of paper, I’m talking about this feeling of stuckness, of not feeling inspired: aka a dull life.
PLUS: You can ask questions, anything you are stuck with- how to structure your novel, what writing ritual works best, how to start a memoir, how to start any creative endeavour - whatever! We will try and work through any worries and problems you are having.
The Muse Salon is open again!
Being a writer can be a lonely profession which is why I love hosting these get-togethers to boost morale and connect with other creatives.
Is this only for writers?
No! I like to think of the Muse Salon as a hub for creativity. Yes the main focus will be words and how to get them on the page however I believe in the transient flow of creativity: we will be inspired by artwork of various disciplines, look at artist biographies, seek inspiration in the quotidian. Inspiration is everywhere. So truly I think this class is for anyone who feels a bit stuck in their life or who wants to try out something new.
If you‘re shy don‘t worry, your videos will be turned off and muted, so you can sit back and relax with a cup of tea, do the exercises without pressure and ask anything through the chat.
It’s for people who want to be in a state of wonder. So basically, for everyone right?
