Hello fellow muses!

This is my last week in beautiful Oaxaca, where I have spent four weeks, weaving, writing, thinking and dreaming, in the most scenic, pittoresque environments. Currently I am sitting on the second floor of a colonial-style build coffeehouse, plants lavishly ranking from the ceiling, climbing up the walls, I want to say “my heart is so full” because it’s true and because I don’t care if it’s cringe. I am cringe now. This beat is called Things I Have Loved This Week for a reason.

As I’m gearing up to the publication day of Things That Are Different Now, sharing the afterword written by award-winning German essayist Lisa Krusche, was definitely a highlight. If you’ve missed it, you can read it here.

There are so many things still to organise and make sure that they go to plan. For instance sending the book to the printers turned out to be a 2 week long process of back and forth between the printer and me, making sure that all bleeds (extra space in the margins) and imagery was in perfect condition to print. It finally went through, so nothing *knocks on wood heavily* is standing in the way of it coming out on 15.05.2025. In fact if you pre-order, you might be getting it a little earlier than that…

In other news, I had the honour to speak to two incredible authors in the last two weeks:

Fariha Róisín
from How To Cure A Ghost and Megan Nolan from
Roulette
for my new podcast “Things Change”. Both conversations meander around what it actually looks like to live an artistic life (sometimes not so great tbh) and how to make it work.

If you ever wanted to change your life and carve out your own artistic path: Listen to it here on Spotify and Apple Podcast.

And now without further ado, this week I’ll be sharing some insights on how to not feel lonely when you’re travelling solo, some stellar advice that has changed my mindset and made me 100% more positive about any sudden changes, some recs about Oaxaca/Mexico and a little gem of a book.

For those of you, who are new here – this – is a weekly account of things I have loved with recommendations, personal insights and general life advice – it’s the secret muse club house – for the lovely people who hold up The Muse Letter and support my writing.

Thanks so much for being here!
