Initially this Spring Awakening was supposed to be a series of small changes of things I wanted to improve over 9 weeks, the little habits and small wishes I had and yet at its finale, life is again proving to be the better writer and in a major plot twist: a big change has entered the stage.

The last time I moved the dead queen was carried up the Royal Mile. Roads were blocked all day and I was worried that the man with a van wouldn’t be able to make it through on time. Is he not coming with us? he asked, pointing to my ex standing outside, as I said next to him in the car, a bundle of fresh plucked flowers in my hand. Flowers from the garden I had sown three months prior. I just said: No. Fuck him.
