MUSE :: INTERVIEW with Charlotte A. Moore: "I realised I’m not as introverted as I thought"
The Muse Letter No. 45
Two years ago in late Winter/early Spring before I moved to Edinburgh I started to go on a journey many people I’ve known already been on or are going to be on called: The Artist Way. Arguably I have been on that path for most of my life but what I’m talking about is not a metaphorical path but a 12 week program created and founded by Julia Cameron. Years before her name or that program had started to meander around me, friends, acquaintances mentioned it occasionally, saying: “That’s something you should do.”
– But somehow I never followed the call, looked her up or did anything really to connect to it. Then a close friend of mine started to transform her life within a few months: quitting her job, finding love, starting a new creative endeavour. It felt like she was rapidly growing, expanding into the person she truly wanted to be and somehow always had been. It was beautiful to watch. When she told me that she had been doing “The Artist Way” it felt like the final push. I needed to try it, too.
