"About the 50th hour, I was going to start thinking about the edge of the universe. Is there an edge? Is this an envelope we're living inside of, or no, does it go onto infinity in both time and space? And there's nothing like swimming for 50 hours in the ocean that gets you thinking about things like this.”
(Diana Nyad)
This month’s Muse Salon I want to talk about finding and building up strength. How our bodies are a part of our creativity that is often neglected and what it means to reconnect with ourselves through movement. We’re going to do creative writing exercises that centre around the body and our physical well-being. So definitely wear something comfy this Sunday, bring a pen and a notepad and something nice to drink/snack, if you like.
As always it’s lovely to see your faces on camera but if you’re shy feel free to turn it off anytime.
This Sunday the Muse Salon is opening from 5-6 PM (UK-time), so that members from the other side of the pond have a chance to join, too.
Find the link at the bottom of this email.
The Muse Salon is free for paid subscribers.
If you’re not a member yet, you can subscribe here.
The Muse Salon is…
A monthly one hour session, a creative gathering with inspiring talks and creative prompts to inspire you in your creative practice and to live a more mindful life.
PLUS: You can ask questions, anything you are stuck with- how to structure your novel, what writing ritual works best, how to start a memoir, how to start any creative endeavour - whatever! We will try and work through any worries and problems you are having.
Become a Muse Salon Member!
Is this only for writers?
No! I like to think of the Muse Salon as a hub for inspiration. I think it is for anyone who feels a bit stuck in their life or who wants to try out something new, learn about artists they’ve never heard of all in a relaxed environment hosted by yours truly.
If you‘re shy don‘t worry, you can turn your video off and you will be muted, so you can sit back and relax with a cup of tea, do the exercises without pressure and ask anything through the chat.
It’s for people who want to be in a state of wonder.
So basically, for everyone right?
