A list of things that I look forward to this spring

Last year on this exact day, the equinox, the first day of Spring: I went camping with my flatmates in the nearby nature reservoir, a sort of last hurrah before the actual lockdown started in Scotland. It was freezing, even Filou was shivering so that I had to wrap him in my sleeping bag. We basically didn’t sleep because of the cold, woke up super early watched a semi-great sunrise and then walked back to our flat, back to a newly approaching reality. It was quite bizarre.
It still is quite bizarre. In Scotland we’ve been in “the real lockdown” officially since the 4th of January – though to be clear, we haven’t been allowed to meet anyone inside their home since last Autumn. (Except if you live alone and the short Christmas intermission of three days). So life definitely still sucks and has been sucking for a long time. So I made a list of things I look forward to this spring. To cheer me up, to cheer you up. Things that are great because you can mostly do them even if all our plans and hopes fall over another again due to unprecedented events.
